Mack H. Erwin, 83, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010. He was preceded by his wife of 62 years, Helen I. Erwin.
He is survived by three children and their spouses, Theresa and Scott Dixon, Scott and Jackie Erwin, and Linda and Robert Abbott; four grandchildren, Sean Sprouse and his wife, Nicole, Jennifer Erwin, and Landon and Kayla Abbott. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII who served on the USS Wisconsin. He retired after 40 years of service from Philip Morris. Mack was a wonderful father.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
