Christine Cochran Carter, 86, of Hahnville, La., died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007. at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, La.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. De Smith will officiate.
A native of Laurel and a former resident of Brandon, she had been a resident of Hahnville for the past seven years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hallie Mallard Carter; a daughter, Crystal Carter Dunagin; parents, Cola Lee and Ras Cochran; and a brother, Hilburn Cochran.
She is survived by a son, Terry L. Carter Sr.; four grandchildren, Terry L. Carter Jr., Tracy Carter Carman, Jeffrey Dunagin and Lauren Dunagin; great-grandchildren, Kortney Carter, Hayley Carman and Hayden Carman; three step-grandchildren; seven great step-grandchildren; and a sister, Belenda Windham.Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel which is in charge of arrangements
