"A. C. Branch died at his home northeast of Buffalo after an illness (cancer) which has lasted more than three years. ......He is survived by (four children) five grandchildren and one (half) brother William Lincoln Branch, of Rosebud, Mont.
While still a young man, Mr. Branch was converted in the Methodist faith but affiliated with the United Brethren at the time of the opening of the "Strip" in 1893.
He came to Harper County and homesteaded northeast of Buffalo in 1902 and has made his home there ever since, with the exception of about five years which were spent at other points in Oklahoma and Arkansas. He was a man loved by his family and esteemed and respected highly in the community." Harper Co Journal 20 Oct 1930 pg 1 col 2.
