OBITUARY - MABEL KUNUIANAKEA HUSSEY
Age 80, of Lahaina, died Saturday in Maui Memorial Hospital. Friends may call this afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina. Mass will be said at 4 p.m. The wake will continue tonight from 6 to 9 at Bulgo's Memorial Chapel. Friends may call again later after 10 a.m. tomorrow at the chapel where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Maui Memorial Park.
Hussey was a member to the Women's Auxilliary Kahekili Chapter No. 4 of the Order of Kamehameha, the Kaahumanu Society, Hale O Na Alii, the Lahaina Hawaiian Civic Club and a member of the Sacred Hearts Society Maria Lanakila Church. She was born March 22, 1896 in Lahaina.
She is survived by two daughters, Sister Nancy Naohaa of Sacred Heards Convent in Honolulu and Mrs. Philbert (Blossom) Vierra of Wailuku, and four sons, Thomas K. of Honolulu, Adrian Iwiula Louis of Kauai, Arnold of Lahaina and Adrian E. of Wailuku.
She also leaves one brother, Henry Makekau of Japan and 35 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
