Mrs. Burgess, 72, of Houlka Dies
Funeral services for Mrs. Millard Burgess, 72, who resided on Route 1, Houlka, were conducted from the Houston Funeral Home Chapel at 10 am, Saturday, Jan. 6, with the Rev. George Armstrong officiating.
Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Charles Burgess, William Burgess, Vernon Greenslade, Billy Barnette, David Berry and Leon Burgess.
Mrs. Burgess died at 1:30 pm, Jan. 4, at the Houston Hospital.
She was a native of Chickasaw county, and was born Dec. 1, 1895, the daughter of Abraham M Berry and Margaret Reeder Berry. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Besides her husband, Millard Burgess of Houlka, she leaves a sister, Miss Tressie Berry of Houston and a brother, L H Berry of Houston.
