Irma Sylvia Ristau was one of two daughters born to Emil Otto Ristau and Laura (Eleanore) Bahr. She was born on September 7, 1923 on Seventh Street in Osseo, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. She graduated from Osseo High School. She married Ludwig George Anderson at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Clear Creek, near Foster, Wisconsin on April 11, 1942. One daughter was born to Irma Ristau by Ludwig George Anderson. Her name was Maribeth June Anderson, born June 12, 1943 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Irma and Ludwig Anderson were divorced in the autumn of 1943. Irma Ristau Anderson attended and graduated from Beautician School in March 1944. She either attended the Beautician School in Eau Claire or Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Irma Ristau Anderson was married to Harry Edward Rawson on December 14, 1945 in Pigeon Falls, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin by Rev. E. B. Christopherson. Irma's sister, Margaret E. Ristau Severson and her husband Lawrence B. Severson were witnesses.

Irma Rawson loved to read, walk in the woods and could easily identify all kinds of plants and trees by sight. She was musically inclined and could play the piano by ear. While in high school, Irma played the violin. Irma was interested in health. Her dream was always to become a nurse. She was a very hard and conscientious worker. She worked for many years at the Blair Nursing Home as a housekeeper and beautician.

Irma and Harry Rawson had five children:

1) James Dale Rawson, born August 31, 1945 in Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois. James Rawson married Janis Lou Hummel on September 10, 1971 in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin. They had two children: Aaron James Rawson, born in 1972 and Jacqueline Danielle Rawson Kimble, born in 1975. James, his wife, Janis and son-in-law, Thomas Kimble and daughter, Jacqueline Rawson Kimble live in Middleton, Wisconsin. Aaron and his present wife, Vandee Neff Rawson and four children live in Waunakee,Wisconsin.

2) David Lee Rawson, born July 19, 1948 in Reno, Washoe County, Nevada. He married Julie Link on October 6, 1979 in Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin. They had two boys: Adam Mark Rawson born in 1980 and Mark Daniel Rawson, born in 1982. David and Julie Link Rawson were divorced in 1984. David remarried Karen Lorrayne Schwartz on July 25, 1998 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wood, Wisconsin. Karen had previously been married to Michael Beilke and had three children: Michael, Brian and Christina.

3) Timothy Aaron Rawson, born November 3, 1954 in Eau Claire, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Timothy graduated from UW-Eau Claire in December 1977 and went to Chicago and worked for 30 years. He worked 10.5 years at the Moody Bible Institute first as a custodian, then as a custodial supervisor and then as a custodial administrator. Timothy was offered the job as a Church Administrator at Christian Fellowship Church on the southwest side of Chicago and worked in that position for 19 years. Timothy is single.

4) John Allen Rawson was born on November 21, 1958 in Mondovi, Buffalo County, Wisconsin. He married Cheryl Johnson in Whitehall, Wisconsin in 1999. They have one daughter, Miranda Beth Rawson, born in 1999 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. John works for Whitehall Specialties and also owns and operates his own restaurant, called C. J.'s in Blair, Wisconsin.

5)Baby Daughter Rawson, later named Margaret Rawson was born on October 28, 1964. She lived one hour and died the same day. She is buried in an unmarked grave in the Gilmington Cemetery in Gilmington, Wisconsin.
