Lillie was born in Ohio, the daughter of David Moron and Leah (Spring) Draper. Lillie lived in Calwood all her life. She and Sam farmed and had a large farm south of Calwood. The house is still standing but has been remodeled. Lillie died in a St. Louis Hospital while undergoing a gall bladder operation.

The body of Mrs. Samuel Craighead of near Calwood, who died Wednesday in the St. Louis Babtist Sanatorium, following an operation for a tumor, was brought to Fulton on the morning train Thursdsy and taken to Ebenezer Babtist Church, where funeral services were held, Reverand J.A. Taylor officiating. Burial was in the church cemetary there.
Samuel Craighead and Lillie Draper were married in Callaway County in a double wedding with her sister, Josephine, on January 15, 1888.
Mrs. Craighead is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Lela Williams of St. Louis, one grandson, Samuel Leslie Strait and infant grandson, Thomas Stanley Williams, in the next four years two more grandchildren were born, Eddie Ray in 1919 and Clarise Dean Williams in 1921, her sister, Josephine (Sam) Jones and a brother,
