Death of C. M. Brister
Calvin M. Brister, president of the Board of Supervisors, died yesterday afternoon, after an illness of a month.
On the first day of the July session of the Board he was stricken with some brain trouble due perhaps to becoming overheated. The best efforts of physicians were unavailing to repair the trouble. He was conscious part of the time but for the last two days lay in a state of coma.
Mr. Brister was a leading citizen of his district as his repeated election to the Board testifies. He served about ten years, six years of the time as president.
Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Hill Church this morning at 10 o'clock.
