Obituary
Lynn "Renee" (Tatham) Salomone, 62, of Boulder, Colorado, died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of December 19, 2011 after a long battle with Friedreich's Ataxia. A Memorial Service for Renee will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd in North Baltimore, Ohio on Thursday, December 22 at 11:30am; Reverend Susan Kronbach presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the church service.
Renee was born on April 30, 1949 in Warren, Ohio to William J. "Bill" and Olive "Grace" (Sprague) Tatham. Renee grew up in North Baltimore, Ohio, graduating from North Baltimore High School in 1967. Renee moved to California in the 1970s, where she raised her two children, Laura Michelle and John Raymond Salomone. Renee worked as a Mortgage Banker for several years, retiring early due to complications with Friedreich's Ataxia. Renee relocated to Boulder, Colorado at the age of 52.
Renee was a self-professed genealogy "nut," a huge Pearl Jam fan, and an animal lover with many pets over the years. She loved to travel, and she loved adventure. She holds the world record for states and countries visited on a motorized scooter.
Renee was preceded in death by her mother Grace Tatham, and by her brother James B. "Jim" Tatham, both of North Baltimore, Ohio. Renee is survived by her father and stepmother, Bill and Sally Tatham of Celina, Ohio; her brother William T. "Tom" Tatham of Bowling Green, Ohio; her daughter Laura Pliego of Montclair, New Jersey; her son John Salomone of Boulder, Colorado; and her four adored grandchildren: Cristina Renee & Salvador John Pliego and Marco John & Julia Laura Salomone.
