Jennie M. Lovejoy Hobbs was born to Edwin Samuel Lovejoy and Mary Adelaide Wilson Lovejoy in the Town of Mackford near Markesan, Green Lake Co, WI 23 April 1871.
Her family was living in Mondovi, Buffalo, WI by 1893. She was a school teacher in 1890 in Green Lake County and continued to teach in Buffalo Co through at least 1905 or possibly until her marriage in 1910. She married her first cousin, Daniel N Hobbs (mothers were sisters) 19 Feb 1910 in Mondovi, Buffalo Co, Wis and he was already settled in Tieton, Yakima, Washington.
She and Daniel lived their entire married life in Tieton, Yakima, WA where she died at St. Elizabeth Hospital 16 Nov 1949 in Yakima. She never had children.

Mrs. Jennie L. (for Lovejoy) Hobbs, 78, died in St. Elizabeth hospital this morning after suffering a stroke on November 5. Born in Green county, Wis, she had lived in the Tieton district for 35 years before she and Mr. Hobbs retired from orchard operations and moved to Yakima four years ago. She made her home at 110 North Glen drive and was a member of the Nov Hill United Brethren Evangelical church. Her husband survives. He is Daniel J. Hobbs. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. P. E. Riley of Eau Claire, Wis., and a nephew, E. L. Currier of Yakima.
