OTTMER E. CHILDERS
Ottmer E. Childers, 85, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Glasgow, died, Monday at Harrell Nursing Home, after a long illness. He was a retired employee of Cabot Corp., a member of the Glasgow United Methodist Church, and a native of Mason County.
Surviving, daughters, Mrs. Dimple Johnson of Lookout, Mrs. Katherine Kinsolving of Nitro, Mrs. Ann Phalen of Robertsdale, Ala., Mrs. Helen Brown of Big Chimney, Mrs. Alma Gronski of Drums, Pa., Mrs. Betty McCoig of Prosperity, S.C., sons, Sylvester L. Childers of Shrewsbury, Arthur of Massillion, Ohio, Ottmer e. Jr., of Laurel, Md., Charles of Elkhart, Ind., brother, Sylvester E., of Peytona, 28 grandchildren, 38 grandchildren.
Service will be held Thursday in the Cook Funeral Home, Cedar Grove, with the Rev. John T. Cheetham and the Rev. Lewis Kinsolving officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Cedar Grove..Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His Mother was buried in the Old Eddy Chapel Cemetery in Mason County, West Virginia under Jennie Gibbs her second husband was Andrew Sheridan Gibbs.
Mary Jane "Jennie" Plants Childers Gibbs died from Gall Bladder Complications 10/25/1896 in Hartford, Mason County, West Virginia.
