Lois J. Corbin left this world Monday, October 13, 2003 at her home to join her husband Virgil with their heavenly Father, Lord, and King, Jesus Christ. Services will be held Wednesday, October 15 at Countryside Christian Church at 10 a.m. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday,k October 14 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Lois was born June 30, 1925 to John and Christina Wilson. She was known as "Grandma" Lois to all the children at Countryside Christian Church. She was the nursery supervisor at Countryside Christian up until her death. She was retired from Anderson Engraving, Kansas City, MO as a press operator. She was a member of the Kansas Old Time Fiddlers, Pickers, and Singers. Her faith in God was strong and her desire was that all her family and friends know the Lord as their personal savior. She was always there for everyone. She lived her life to honor God.
Lois is survived by many who love and miss her. Her children Jackie (David) Pounds, San Marcos, TX, Virgil (Janice)Corbin, Hillsdale, KS, Mickey (Linda) Corbin, Overland Park, KS, David (Linda) Corbin, Shawnee, KS, Suzy (Robert "Bo") Jansen, Baldwin City, KS, Rev. Lois "Snook" (Dennis) Kelley, Lenexa, KS, and Walter (Debbie) Corbin, Mission, KS; her grandchildren Janiece (Doug) Yonke, Kim Weidner, Mickie (Kerby) Farthing, Chad Corbin, Kelly (Joanna) Corbin, Jason Corbin, Brian Corbin, Amy (Aaron) Bard, Amanda McGee, Amber McGee, Erin Marie Jansen, Christy Jansen, Courtney Jansen, Courtney Kelley and her newest grandson, Connor Corbin; her great-grandchildren, Frederick Weidner, Reanna weidner, Abby Farthing, Sierra Corbin, Alexis McGee, Ashton Bard, Lauren Jansen, and Leslie Jansen; her sisters Christine Wright, Independence, MO, Mary (Bud) Boswell, Blue Springs, MO, Betty Fetters, Parkville, MO, Wilma (Peck) Hagan, Lee's Summit, MO; many nieces and nephews; and al her "adopted" family at Cuntryside Christian.
