Clara Inice, daughter of Henry and Sarah (Robinson) Hart, Jr., was born at Little Rock, Kendall County, IL. She was married there to James Raymond Chapman on July 14, 1872. To this marriage were born six daughters and three sons. They moved around a lot, living in Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas before settling at Claremore, Rogers County, OK, where she passed away at their home. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore, OK.

Mrs. Chapman was a member of the Reorganized church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was survived by four children: Nellie and her husband, Emerson Dunn, Avery and his wife, Emma, Richard and his wife, Nina and Paul and his wife, Nan; two sisters, Unice Winslow and Sarah Winslow, both of Independance, MO, and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five daughters, her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
