|Birth: ||Dec. 14, 1867|
|Death: ||Oct. 5, 1905|
Daughter of William H & Sarah Mariah (Lee) Long. She married Samuel Walter Burks on 17 Dec 1891 in Clayton Co GA. They made their home in Ellenwood until 1898 when they moved to Cullman Co AL. My late great uncle, Criss Burks, told me that while living in AL she was very home sick for GA. One night she had a dream where she saw water in her grave. She persuaded Walt to take her home to GA and while there, she died.
She was the mother of 6 children, the first 3 being born in Clayton Co, and the first dying at birth. The surviving children, all of whom lived to adulthood, married and had children of their own, were: Elice Lee Burks, William Antonio Burks, George Monroe Burks, Pauline Mildred Burks, and Jeffery K Burks.
