John Oliver Markward was born in Fort Worth, TX and died at his summer home on Sebago Lake, Windham, ME. Son of Martin Forrest Markward and Ada (Moore) of Fort Worth, TX and grandson of John Markward (FAG#65180916) and Adelphia Florence (White) of Lampasas, TX.
(Note: John's middle name comes from his mother's side of the family: Ada Belle (Moore) was a daughter of Alma (Oliver) and Dr. Thomas Moore. Her mother Alma was a daughter of Amory Gale Oliver and Lucretia (Batsell) of Burnet and Lampasas, TX.)
On 2/3/1951 in Westbrook, ME John married Joyce Reid (Ingalls). They resided in Wayland, MA, Westbrook, ME, Overijse, BELGIUM, and Sebago Lake, Windham, ME. John an engineer and in management with S.D. Warren of Westbrook; a veteran of WWII.
John died at their summer home on Sebago Lake, ME, from a sudden illness.
