Married Lucian Chaudoin in November 1938 in St. Louis, Mo. He died January 15, 1970.

WAYNESVILLE - Helen Frances Chaudoin, 92, of Waynesville, died at 6:05 a.m. Thursday (April 11, 2002) at Crestview Nursing Center, Clinton.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Waynesville Christian Church, with Merwyn Masters, Gary Johnson and Dan Sherstad officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Missions at Waynesville Christian Church or the Oska Bible Seminary, c/o Chris Wolfe, 6410 E. Karin Court, Colombia, MO 65202.

She was born Sept. 7, 1909, in DeWitt County, a daughter to Willis and Bessie Leever Hoose. She married Lucian Chaudoin in November 1938, at St. Louis, Mo. He died Jan. 15, 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Sue (David) Freeman, Waynesville; a son, Coley (Sue Ann) Chaudoin, Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two step-sons and two brothers.

Mrs. Chaudoin was a member of Waynesville Christian Church.
She was a retired teacher and member of DeWitt-Logan Counties Retired Teachers Association. She taught in area schools.

She read her Bible daily and finished it more than 17 times before losing her eyesight. She prayed daily for the salvation of her family, friends and neighbors. It was her prayer that she see all of them in Heaven someday.
She also was a librarian at the Waynesville Township Library for several years.
