Gil served in the United States Navy during World War II. In 1972, Gil retired from the Treasury Department after 30 years of service. Gil was a founder of the Seniors Club at Diablo Creek Golf Course where he was an active member for 20 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2006, at 11:00AM at Ouimet Bros.
