There is some discrepancy on birth location. Family lore has Mobile, AL versus the census records which all say MS. Now, some other family says that Thomas Black saw Susan Nancy Brannon ourside washing windows while walking hoem from a battle during the Civil War. He was smitten and they soon married and Mollie was born the following year. Family lore also puts the dob as Jan 19th. The name was also passed down as Mary Erma Ann. I've wondered if that was supposed to be Mary Ann Erma though so I left out the Ann in the memorial
