Thomas Perry Arrington was the son of John Arrington and Rebecca Jane Aston.

It is unknown when or where his mother would die; as she and her 4-children are last reflected in the 28 Aug 1860 Leesburg District, Washington Co, TN Census.

Thomas' father would remarry on 24 Aug 1858 in Haywood County, NC to Rachael Johnson and by 1870, his siblings are living in the home of his father, John and step-mother, Rachel in Haywood County, NC.

Thomas would marry Polly Williams in Jackson County. There are 2-such records which annotate different dates: one is listed as 24 Jul 1870, performed by: A.J. Hall, Justice of the Peace. The other record indicates they were married on 30 Jul 1871, performed by P.G. Green, Magistrate.

In the 1880 Haywood County Census, Thomas was employed as a "Servant" in the home of Daniel & Rachel Synder in Waynesville. He is listed as married, and 31-years of age.

He would take a second wife; and would marry Artie M. Reed on 31 Dec 1884 in Jackson County, NC. Performed by: M.W. Bryson, Justice of the Peace. A.V. Bryson and Jesse Bryson, witnesses.

In the 1900 and 1910 Census Records, he and Artie are living in Jackson County.

Thomas would die at his home in Old Fort as the result of myocarditis and nephritis.

His death certificate indicates he was 77-years of age.

This Company was part of Thomas' Legion in Haywood County, under the full command of Colonel William Holland Thomas. These men were also known by Thomas as the Southern Highlanders.
