Birth: Feb. 25, 1822
Augusta County

Death: Apr. 12, 1899
Montgomery County
Kansas, USA

Dr. Thornton of Radical City was in town today and informs us that Mr. Robert Beath, who lived one mile west of Radical, was probably fatally injured by a fall Sunday night. Mr. Beath is upwards of seventy years of age and was one of the early settlers of the county. His family, at home, consists of his wife and two sons.

Mr. Beath was sleeping alone in an upstairs room to which there was a front door without a porch or landing in front of it. He got up in the night and it is thought that he became confused and supposing thst he was down stairs, he walked out of the front door, falling about ten feet. Three ribs were broken loose from his backbone, his collar bone was broken and he received internal injuries. He was still alive at last accounts but it was no thought probable that he could recover.

On last Friday morning R. C. Beathe, "Bob", walked out of a second story door and fell to the ground, landing on some rocks, breaking his clolar bone, three ribs and one arm. As he is very old, it is not expected that he can survive.
