Neta “Fern” Adams, age 68, of Harrison, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 4 (2016) at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
The daughter of Reverend Coy and Verla (Roberts) Widner was born Jan. 21, 1948, in Harrison.
Fern was preceded in death by her parents.
Fern was a lifelong resident of Boone County. For many years, she taught Sunday school for the primary grades and served as church secretary for 21 years. Fern was a charter member of Miracle Lighthouse Church, where she and her husband pastored for the past 14 years. On June 13, 2009, she earned her Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree from Midwest College of Theology. Fern and Arvin have promoted southern gospel concerts at their home, Beacon Park, for many years. For 39 years, Fern sang with the Lighthouse Messengers.
Fern is survived by her husband of 45 years, Arvin Adams; her daughters, Wrinda Adams and Mylinda Adams; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Miracle Lighthouse Church. A Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Miracle Lighthouse Church, with the Rev. Billy Rogers officiating.
Burial will be at Gass Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Beacon Park Productions.
Fern’s expectation is to see everyone again on Heaven’s Bright Shore.
Pallbearers are Matthew Adams, Steve Cutis, T.J. Thompson, Steve Roberts, Stuart Roberts, James Widner and Rick Widner.
