Elaine was the first born of two children, both girls, of George Joseph Bangert and Anna Caroline Catherine Amberger. Her sister was Marcella Margaret (Bangert) Sala.
Elaine married Benjamin Austin Allen on Dec. 31, 1941 in New Gretna, Burlington Co., New Jersey. They were married just 2 months shy of 68 years at the time of Ben's death in 2009.
Elaine and Ben had just one child, a son, born between them. Phillip Michael Allen, was born in 1944. Phillip married Helen Marie Sirmon of which there were no children.

Elaine B. Allen, age 90, a resident of the Styx River Area passed from her earthly body into Jesus’ arms on June 17th, 2014. Elaine was at peace and looking forward to being reunited with her husband, Ben, daughter-in-law, Helen, and many friends who have gone on before her. She is survived by son, Mike and a sister, Marcella Sala of Texas plus a loving church family. She was a retired school board secretary and tax collector for New Gretna, New Jersey and active both here and in New Gretna. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church, Robertsdale, AL with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, request donations be made to the Bethel Baptist Church, P O Box 908, Robertsdale, AL 36567. Funeral arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory HWY 59 Robertsdale, AL 36567
