Walter was a good, hard working husband and father.
He was a blacksmith, land owner/farmer, who had his own grist mill, and was a U.S. rural-mail carrier, delivering by horse and buggy. He had a large two-story home for his children overlooking Trace Creek, in Lewis Co., Tennessee.
He married Martha J Tharp, who converted her entire family to the Baptist Church. They had several daughters and a son.
A few of Walter's descendants still live in Tennessee and many of them live in Texas, and some in California.
Pic of Walter Brown is taken around 1893.
