Marathon --- Elwyn Allen , 76 of Marathon RD 2 died Friday at his home. Services will be at 2 PM Monday at the Perkins Funeral Home Dryden. The Rev Robert G. Eason, pastor of Hunt's Corners Baptist Church will officaite. Burial will be in Taylor Rural Cemetery, Cincinnatus. Friends may call 3 to 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Mrs Rose Storey Allen; two sons, Robert and Clyde Allen , both of Marathon RD2 ; a foster son Gerald A. Smith of Lawton Okla; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a brother Lester Allen of Pitcher; two sisters Mrs. Edna Crandall of Preble and Mrs. Eva Sergeant of Baldwinsville; several nieces and nephews. He was born in the Town of Taylor, the son of Harris C. and Anna Daniels Allen. He had lived in the Town of Hartford 15 years. At one time he owned and operated a hotel in Syracuse.
