Florence Helen Farneth Cochran, 70, of New Kensington died at 4:10 p.m. Friday (June 14, 2002) in her home after a lingering illness.
Born Feb. 13, 1932, in New Kensington, she lived in the city her entire life.
She enjoyed painting, drawing and music.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Paul Cochran; three sons, Jeffrey Cochran and Curtis (Margaret) Cochran, both of Lower Burrell, and Danny (Lauren) Cochran of California; two daughters, Mrs. Jennifer (Matthew) Ciesielski and Mrs. Elaine (John) Resetar, both of Lower Burrell; five brothers, Charles Ray Farneth of Ohio, George Roy Farneth of Lancaster, Robert Farneth of New Kensington, Harold Farneth of New York and Ralph Farneth of Murrysville; and a sister, Ida Mae Fenn of Oakmont.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Amy Resetar and Sara Resetar, Rachel Carrigan and Kristen Carrigan, Rachel Cochran, Elizabeth Cochran, Casey Cochran, Mitchell Cochran and McKenzie Cochran and Lucas Ciesielski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Florence McIntyre Farneth, and a brother, Walter Farneth.
Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bibleway Christian Fellowship Church, 504 Eighth St., New Kensington. The Rev. Dr. Mitchel Nickols, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum.
