Jane grew up in Phoenix where she graduated from Phoenix Union High School. In 1939 she married Lou Parker, and in 1943 she gave birth to their son.
The Parkers moved to Prescott in 1951 where Lou was in the heating and air conditioning business, first in partnership with Bob Glau and, in 1959, opening Parker's Metal Products which remained open until Lou and Jane retired in the 1970s. Jane was the secretary and bookkeeper for each of these businesses.
Jane was a member of Eastern Star (Laurel Chapter), Business and Professional Women, and Soroptimists. She was instrumental in the annual Christmas decorating of the Prescott Courthouse Plaza. Throughout the years her son was in the Prescott public schools, Jane was active in the PTA at each school he attended.
