Oris was born to James M. and Hazel Imogene Bush Barger.
He died at the Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
Oris graduated from Sickles High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He married Clara V. Jackson on October 25, 1953 at Binger.
They farmed and lived at Sickles and Gotebo for a short time before moving to Anadarko.
He was an owner-operator in the trucking industry for many years, but always made it a point to be home for the holidays.
He was a member of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church in Anadarko.
Oris loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their various activities, quail hunting, riding horses, and attending rodeos.
He was preceded in death by his parent.
Survivors included three children Regina Moser and husband Craig, Kenny Barger and his wife Patti, Kevin Barger and his wife Tracie; seven grandchildren Kyle, Jodi, Justin, Shaunell, Jared, Zach, Linsey, and Eli; two great-grandchildren Kade and Mallori; and friends Mickey Barley and Shirley Lewis.
Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Glenn Alley with Military Honors by the Ft. Sill U.S. Army Honorguard.
Services were under the direction of Turner Funeral Home of Hinton, Oklahoma.
