Sandra Sue Staten Hincks, 67, beloved wife, mother, and Grammy was
called home to be with the Lord Wednesday August 10th, 2011. Sandra
was born August 20, 1944 to Harold and Vernadene Staten in Ft. Worth., Texas. Sandra graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1966 and
shortly thereafter interviewed with Trans World Airlines and started June
of 1966 as a Flight Attendant based out of San Francisco, CA. She soon entered management for TWA and became an instructor for BreechTraining
Academy in Kansas City, Kansas. August 4, 1973 she married her
best friend and soul mate, Philip Lyle Hincks in the Staten home in Tryon, Oklahoma. Sandy and Phil moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1974
to start a business and family. The fall of 1992 the family relocated to Wichita Falls, Texas to become owner/operators of Mr. Gatti's Pizza. Sandy soon became like a second mother to her many employees there. Everyone who came in contact with her knew her to be a warm and loving person who always had a shoulder to lean on. She loved her family deeply and loved to spoil and take care of them. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family which included gardening, fishing, and the occasional trip to the casino with her husband as well as tending her pets which included cats, dogs, and sometimes bunnies. Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Harold Staten, her mother Vernadene Sloan Staten, and her brother Steve Craig Staten. She is survived by her husband of 38 years Philip Lyle Hincks, two children Heather Hope Hincks Swedberg and Philip Clayton Hincks and wife Megan, and 3 grandchildren, Colton Jase Havins-Hincks, Colby Lane Hincks, and Hayden Philip Hincks, brother Mike Elden Staten and wife Joni. Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service will be held in Tryon, Oklahoma at the Christian Union church Saturday August 13, 2011 at 11 am with Pastor Ted Gibson officiating. "You were a precious gift from God above, so much beauty, grace and love.You touched our hearts in so many ways"
