Mrs. Laura Rorer Marsh, 91, resident of Route 4, Cynthiana, on the Mudlick Pike, died Tuesday, July 15, 1980, at Edgemont Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Alnora Rees Rorer. Mrs. Marsh was a member of the Republican Christian Church, the Christian Women's Fellowship and the Buena Vista Homemakers.

She is survived by: her husband, Harry A. Marsh; one son, Jack R. Marsh, Harrison County; six daughters, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Grosse Pointe, MI; Mrs. Virginia Bell, Lexington,KY; Mrs. Emiley Rees Wilcox, Waukegan, IL; Mrs. Joy Rice, Harlan, KY; Mrs. Faith Marsh, Belleville, MI; and Mrs. Gay Perrin, Pomeroy, OH; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Hill, Cape Coral, FL and Mrs. J.E. Brannan, Cynthiana, KY.

Funeral services were held at 10:30am Friday at the Whaley Funeral Home by Reverend David Aubrey. Burial took place in Battle Grove Cemetery. Grandsons served as active pallbearers, including David Bell, Ken Bell, Joseph Wilcox, Jon Perrin, Dr. Mark Rice, Steve Marsh, Scott Marsh and Daniel Marsh. Members of the Republican Christian Church Official Board served as honorary pallbearers. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Republican Christian Church.
