From the April 7, 1938 issue of the Illinoian-Star newspaper, Beardstown, Illinois: Funeral Services Are Held For George Fair. Rites Conduted At The Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral services for George Fair, who died Monday, were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Grand Ave. Baptist church. The Rev. Albert Monroe of White Hall was in charge. L.L. Simpson sang, "The Peace My Savior Has." He was accompanied on the piano by Miss Clarissa Millard. Flowers were cared for by Miss Margaret Whited, Miss Eva Ore and Miss Irene Elliott. Burial was in the City cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: Vernon Rahn, Wilbur Rose, Otto Garrett, Cecil Reining, Carl Ore and Leslie Whited.
