Albert Clay was born to German immigrants, Charles Gustave & Caroline (Sigismund) Bilicke. His one sister, Louisa Emma Bilicke McHenry Babcock, intertwined his life with the central valley of California.
Albert died when German forces bombed the English passenger ship "Lusitania." His body was never recovered.
At the time of his passing, he left a wife and three young children: Gladys, Constant, Nancy, & Archibald.
