He served his country with pride as a member of the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 25.
He is survived by three children; four great-grandchildren and a foster grandson and great-grandson. Born the eldest of twelve children, Jack is also survived by three brothers and six sisters. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Lucy and a son, JACK Wiggins, Jr .
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel, Newport News. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Peninsula Memorial Park. Condolences to the family may be made at www.altmeyer.com.
