"WEDDING BELLS PEAL"

"Last Tuesday, April 27, a very pretty wedding occurred in the First Baptist church in New Orleans, with Rev. Dr. P?, officiating. The church was handsomely decorated and quite a large assemblage of ladies and gentlemen, friends of the contracting parties, were present. The young couple consisted of Miss Rosa Arminda Sherrouse and Mr. Ed. S. Balthrope, the senior partner of the merchantile firm of Balthrope Bros. of Biloxi. The groom is a gentleman widely known and is universally respected as one of our best citizens. The bride is a daughter of C. M. Sherrouse, who is connected with the celebrated Sherrouse Medicine Company of New Orleans, proprietors of Tichenor's Antiseptic, and is a pronounced belle of the Crescent City. The ushers were Messrs. G. A. Moffett, Fred Dunbar, Ed. Barringer, G. Hausman, Prescott and Huddleston. The groom's best men was our popular young friend, W. W. Balthrope of this city, and B. F. Sherrouse, while the bride, elegantly arrayed, was attended by Misses Lena Sherrouse and Ruth Hussey. The mother of the bride was formely Katie Dunbar. After the ceremony the parties held a reception and then, with the best wishes of their friends, departed at 7:50 p.m. for a tour embracing St. Louis, Vandalia, the former home of the groom, where they will remain one week, and from there go to Nashville, Tenn., from which point they will return to their future home in New Orleans stopping, however, a few days in Biloxi, where their friends will make their visit very pleasant."
