|Birth: ||Dec. 4, 1848|
|Death: ||Aug. 19, 1919|
Born as Margaret Rudroff the daughter of Michael and Anna Fick Rudroff.
Her father was a native of Wonskey, Bavaria.
Because of social laws in Bavaria, a large number of families left that kingdom and came to Osage County, Missouri in 1839-1845.
The Rudroff were among these early families to come.
Little has survived of Margaret Rudroff's early life, but in 1868 she left Rich Fountain to enter the Sister of St Benedict at Atchison Kansas.
On August 1, 1868, she entered the community at Atchison, and one year later on the feast of the Assumption, she received her Benedictine habit.
She took her vows on August 15, 1870 and then her perpetual vows 3 years later.
Failing eyesight caused her to be relieved of her duties and fear of becoming blind affected her near the end.
She died August 19, 1919 at the age of 71.
