Matthew C. Haughton was born on Sept. 27, 1912 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the union of Alfred Haughton and Lula Patterson Haughton. He departed this life on July 28, 2007 at his residence in California City.
He joins his wife, Bessie M. Haughton, their daughter, Rosetta Martin and their son, Michael Haughton, and his parents. The memories of Matthew will be cherished by his daughter, Rochell Burton, and his son, David Haughton and his wife, Johnetta; also, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.

Whatever was the kindly part, we thank you oh so very much.

Visitation will be at Stickel Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, August 2, 2007 from 5pm to 7pm. A memorial service will be held at the Community Church of California City on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 11am with interment following at California City Memorial Park at 12pm.
