Mr. Clifford T. Adams, age 87, of Lovelady, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 in the Houston County Nursing Home in Crockett. Mr. Adams was born July 2, 1922 in Houston County, Texas and had lived most of his lifetime in Houston County. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. Mr. Adams was a member of the Lovelady Masonic Lodge #539, Livestock Producer and Soil Conservationist. He had served on Lovelady School Board, four Electrical Boards and the Beef Producer Board. He was a farmer and rancher and was affiliated with Weldon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Shada Adams, of Lovelady; sister Florene Little, of Lovelady; brother Amos Adams, of Austonio; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, including the Trapani Family.
Preceded in death by his parents Wallace Howard Adams and Ella Jane (Maxey) Adams; brothers Leon Adams and Harmon Adams; and sister Nelda Salsbury Arceneaux.
Funeral Services for Mr. Clifford T. Adams were held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Weldon Baptist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Trapani and the Rev. Reggie Gregory officiating. Interment followed in the Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Weldon Baptist Church or Salem Cemetery Association, C/O Tonya Fulsom, Rt. 1 Box 175A, Lovelady, Tx. 75851.
