Harmon Adams, age 83 of Lovelady, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2003 in the East Texas Medical Center-Crockett. Mr. Adams was born August 14, 1920 in Houston County and had lived in Lovelady all of his lifetime. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II in the 88th Division of the 351st Regiment known as the "Blue Devils," in Italy, Mr. Adams was a farmer and rancher all of his life in Houston County. Mr. Adams received the "Outstanding Beef Cattle Producer" award in 1981. Mr. Adams attended the Grace Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Charlyne Adams, of Lovelady; daughter Faith Crespi, of Crockett; son-in0law Dr. Perry Ramsey, of Crockett; grandchildren Adams Ramsey, of Fort Worth, Claire Ramsey, of Crockett, Bobby Crispi and Wife Lisa, of Austin; Kay Mathews and husband David, of the Woodlands, Dixie Minter and husband Chad; great-grandchildren Sam Crespi, Conner Mathews and Aaron Mathews; sister Florene Little, of Lovelady; brothers Clifford Adams and wife Shada, of Lovelady, Amos Adams and wife Belinda, of Austonio; special brother-in-law John Hinson and wife Pat, of Crockett; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by his daughter Sharmon Ramsey; parents Wallace and Ella Jane Adams; brother Leon Adams; sister Nelda Arceneaux; son-in-law bob Crispi. Funeral services for Mr. Harmon Adams were held Saturday, December 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the Grace Street Church of Christ with Mr. Rick Kelley officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Texas Children Home, P.O. Box 16318, Austin, TX 78761-6318 Callaway-Allen Funeral Home

Cpl. Adams entered the Army in 1942, served in EAME Awarded GCM, Victory, ET, 3 Battle Stars, Combat Inf. Badgeand Unit Citation. Discharged in 1945,thank you for your service!
