US Navy Hospital Corpsman(HM3), Vietnam Veteran and native of Lindsey, Ohio.

US Navy Hospital Corpsman Third Class John Charles Agee was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, HM3 Agee served our country until February 28th, 1967 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He was 22 years old and was married. It was reported that John was killed by a sniper,Hill 124,about 5 kilometers Northwest of Cam Lo.

His body was recovered. John was born on May 12th, 1944 in Lindsey, Ohio. HM3 Agee is on panel 15E, line 112 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 4 years.

John Charles Agee was born May 10, 1944 in Toledo Ohio. His parents were John & Roma Agee. He had 4 siblings: Barbara, Robert, William, and Mary Ellen. John graduated from Ross HS in Fremont, OH in 1962. He enlisted in the Navy on 101862. He trained at Great Lakes Naval station and Jacksonville Naval hospital. John married Anne Cason in January 1964. He left for Vietnam in September of 1966. He served with Golf Company, 2nd Platoon, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines. In Quang Tri, Vietnam on February 28, 1967 John volunteered for night duty while on R&R. He was killed by a sniper,Hill 124,about 5 kilometers Northwest of Cam Lo.

He was 22 years old. His son John Steven Agee was born on March 30. Mary Ellen Shannon, dearbornsvietnam@gmail.com.

According to the records at Wauseon Cemetery, he had been moved to Omar Cemetery in Attica, Ohio on 07/12/1994.

He served as a Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class. Headquarters and Services Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III MAF.

He was awarded the Navy Good Conduct Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his Combat Wounds, The nation Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
