Lorin was the son of Orrin and Caroline (Hawley) Clark. He was born in NY but the family soon moved to the Amenia area of CT. He first married Dolly Jane Fuller in about 1854. Then they all moved to Litchfield, CT. Lorin and Dolly had four children: Carrie 1854, Harriet R. 1856, Charles 1860 and Mary 1862. Dolly died in 1865. She is buried at Amenia Union Cemetery in CT along with his parents. Sometime later Lorin took the children and Lydia Fuller, his deceased wife's sister, to Will Co. IL where he worked as a farm superintendant. In 1875 Lorin married Lydia Fuller. By 1880 they were living in Chicago, Cook Co, IL. They are buried with their daughter's Mary (Clark) Quait and Hattie (Harriet) R. Hamilton wife of James. The headstone says Hamilton.
