Mr. Charlie R. Adams, age 81, of Lovelady passed away September 16, in a local nursing home. Mr. Adams was born June 24, 1902 in Weldon and had lived there all of his lifetime. Mr. Adams was a retired farmer, and was a member of the Lovelady Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife: Lillie Adams of Weldon; seven sons: Charlie W. Adams of Weldon, Billy J. Adams of Weldon, W. W. Adams of Houston, W. C. Adams of Houston, H. R. Adams of Houston, J. D. Adams of Houston, Johnny Adams of Weldon; two daughters: Lula Kent of Houston and Jane Billing of Houston; step mother Ethel Adams of Trinity; numerous half brothers and sisters; 25 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Charlie R. Adams were held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Goodson officiating. Interment followed in the Antioch Cemetery near Lovelady.
Pallbearers were: Greg Adams, Kevin Adams, Stephen Adams, Brian Adams, Alan Adams, Mike Adams, Gary Adams and Charlie Adams.
Charlie & Lillie were married Oct. 27, 1922 in Houston Co., Texas.
