Robert Lee "Bob" Bishop
Robert Lee "Bob" Bishop, 81, Stockton, did Aug. 19, 2008, at his home.
He was born May 17, 1927, in Hamilton, Kan., the son of John William and Opal Helen (Bratton) Bishop.
May 24, 1966, he married Leanna Faye Pedigo in Paola, Kan.
Mr. Bishop was a dairy farmer near Cleveland and was also employed for the Cass County Road and Bridge Department until his retirement in 1981. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He enjoyed his family, farming, working and country music. He had lived near Cleveland before moving to Stockton.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, Eugene.
Surviving are his wife, Leanna Bishop, of the home; a son, Martie Grimm, Cushing, Okla.; four daughters, Vickie Loraine Bishop, Tucson, Ariz., Vera Lynne Hatch, Butler, Vee Lolita Whitworth, BoisD'arc, and Velma Lee Butler, Kansas City; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth Nicole Brockman, Green Ridge, and Linda Jean Solomon, Belton; a sister, Dorothy Moore, Cleveland; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relative and many friends.
Honorary casket bearers were Jesse Grimm, Ruger Grimm, Don Hatch, Chad West and Taylor Whitworth. Casket bearers were Steven W. Butler, Allen Hatch, Jeremy Solomon, Josh Solomon, William Stuecken and Lee Whitworth.
Services were Aug. 22, at the First Baptist Church in Cleveland with the Rev. Henry Green officiating.
Burial was in the Louisburg, Cemetery, Louisburg, Kan., under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lupus Foundation.
