Milton Gore Eddy married Charlotte Baird
on September 8, 1825 in Big Prairie, Holmes County, Ohio.
They had five children:
Sally, Curran, Milton Volney, Franklin and Homer.
Charlotte died 30 October 1844, and Milton remarried, Rachel Leonard on 16 March 1848
in Ashland Co., Ohio. They had four children; Byron, Juliet, Marion and Josephine.

Milton Gore Eddy's family home, built by his father Judge Abner Eddy in 1830. It served as "The Eddy Inn" on the 3 C Highway. It was a stop for stage men, public officials of which many were noted statesmen and spectators.

The Eddy Inn was know as a stagecoach stop, a place for people traveling between Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati to stop for dining and over nights. The Inn was highly regarded and operated until about 1852, which was the advent of the railroads.
