Margaret Dilley Coke, 83, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept.18, at the First Baptist Church of Waco.
A native of Abilene, Texas, Margaret lived in a variety of Texas towns. She resided in Waco from 1973 to 2005. She was licensed with the American Medical Technologists and was involved in the medical profession from the lowest positions to Hospital Administrator of a 15 bed hospital in McCamey, Texas. Later in life she worked for the IRS in Austin. While in Austin, she studied and became quite proficient as an artist. Her works sold and held prominent places in many homes. In Waco, she attended Texas State Technical Institute and earned an Associates Degree in Commercial Art in 1975 and was on the President's Honor Role. She had broad talents and interests, but always had love and time for her family.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Edward Coke; and great-grandchildren, Emiliana, Alexandria, and Sadie McWaters.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Clyde C. Coke; son, David L. Coke; grandchildren, Rita Coke McWaters and Raymond P. Coke; and great-grandchildren, Ryan E. Coke, Eva M. McWaters, and Mars P. McWaters.
