Robert "Bob" Myers
Robert "Bob" Myers, 79, of Richmond, Indiana formerly of Liberty and Connersville, Indiana passed away on Feb. 23, 2004 at Oak Ridge Rehabilitation and Specialty Care in Richmond. He was born Aug. 30, 1924 and served his country with the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his step daughters Agnes Wilcher of Greenfield, In. and Barbara Robinson of Merritt Island, Fl.; a brother, William Myers of Boyertown, Pa. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, David (Jamie) Short, Greenfield, In., Tracey (Darren) Short-Rindahl, Camrose, Alberta, Canada, Joe (Stacey) Short, Phoenix, Az., Crystal (Milt) Ewing, Liberty, In. and Angel Robinson, Liberty, In.. Also 5 Great-Grandchildren, Andrew, Shelby and Xander Short, Morgan Ewing and Kimber Robinson. He was preceded in death by his companion of 33 yrs., Ina Smith Ervine, who passed away Jan. 11, 1991.
Services will be at 1 p.m. at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel in Connersville with the Rev. Joseph Merriman officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Garden of Memories near Lyonsville, In. with military graveside rites conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council. Friends may call from Noon-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
