Guy David Adams was born November 12, 1925, in Gilbert, Arkansas, to Henry Lynn Adams and Audra Harlan Adams. He passed away November 26, 2007, at his home in Olympia, Washington.
He is survived by his wife of 59 and one-half years, Bonnie Lou Adams (Davenport); sons and wives, David and Margaret Adams of McKinney, Texas, Michael and Lonna Adams of Round Rock, Texas, and Timothy and Kimberly Adams of Auburn, Washington; grandchildren Rebekah Adams Schroeder, Benjamin Adams, Jennifer Adams Waterhouse, Matthew Adams, Ashley Adams, and Emily Adams; and one great grandson. One brother, Herman Adams of Conway, Arkansas, survives him. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Guy served in the United States Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a carpenter in the Hanford area of Washington. He served as a Business Representative for the local Carpenters Union for twelve years and as Executive Secretary of the State Council of Carpenters for seven years. He served as Representative to the General President for the International Brotherhood of Carpenters from 1981 until his retirement in 1991.
Guy was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, serving as a deacon at the Kennewick Church of Christ and several years as an elder at the Olympia Church of Christ.
Services were held at the Olympia Church of Christ with Mark Johnson, minister, presiding. Pallbearers were Matthew Adams, Clayton Keeling, Benjamin Adams, David Adams, Jon Rice and Ron Ranniger.
