Rodney Edward Angwood, 47, a resident of Thurston County, died of lung cancer Friday, September 24, 1999 at home.
He was born October 6, 1951, to Lovella (Prine) and Edward Angwood in Olympia.
Mr. Angwood married Karlene Johnson. They divorced.
He was an airman first class in the Air Force from 1971 to 1974.
After his military service, he was a carpenter.
Mr. Angwood enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. He played baseball in high school and coached little league in Rochester. He was an American League coach in 1988 in Sitka, Alaska.
Mr. Angwood is survived by a son, Gabriel Angwood of Sheldon; a daughter, Sunshine Angwood of Sheldon, a stepbrother, Larry Russet of Kennewick, four sisters, Edwina Castel of Darlington, Judy Ann Anderson, Sandra Blanksma and Janet Keller, all of Rochester; two stepsisters, Marilyn Boyse of Auburn and Sylvia Dunn of Mesa, Ariz; his mother and stepfather, Lovella and Martin Russet of Yakima; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside inurnment with military honors by Centralis and Chehalis American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 1999, at Mountain View Cemetery, Centralis. The Rev. Dave Eaton will officiate.
Arrangements are by Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary, Centralia.
