Lee Henry Jones, 62 a native of Cass County died at his home in Lexington, Neb. May 8.
Services were held at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington Tuesday, May 12 Burial was at Lexington.
Mr Jones was born in Weeping Water June 3 1907the youngest child of H.B. and Catherine Jones. His father died February 17 1914. and his mother was married t J.N.Cater also of Weeping Water on June 12 1916.
During Mr Jones high school years the family moved to Central Nebraska and he attended Cozad High School before going to Chillicothe Business College. After his marriage he was a ditch rider for the irrigation line and farmed in the Lexington area. His wife, Geraldine has taught art in the Lexington schools for a number of years.
Surviving beside his wife are a daughter Jeannine Townsend of Denver, a son Richard of Gillette Wyo. six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs Irene Peer of Caldwell Idaho and Mrs Edith Beverage of Bose Idaho.
He was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters, all natives of Weeping Water. Arthur Jones in 1951: William Jones in 1963: Jessie Jones in 1966 and Ruth Jones Petty in 1967.
