William "Bill" Warren Babcock, Jr. was survived by his wife, Marilyn Mallak Babcock of Manteno, IL and his two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Warren Babcock, III of Crestwood, IL and Michael A. and Sandra Babcock of Palos Heights, IL. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald Louis Babcock of Franklin, TN and many nieces and nephews.

Already deceased are two sisters, Betty Jane Babcock Fly and Barbara May Babcock Story. Both lived in Chesapeake, Va.

He retired in 1982 after 35 years as an inspector for International Harvester. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the VFW. He was also a member of the Manteno Sportsman's Club. He was an avid bowler, muskie hunter and bass-master angler. He was a true sports fan and author.
