BELTON — Graveside services for Foster Kimble Jr., age 78, of Temple will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Bellwood Memorial Park with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating.

Mr. Kimble died Sunday in a Temple nursing home.

He was born September 15, 1932 in Bordelonville, Louisiana to Foster and Blanche(Mayeux) Kimble Sr. He grew up in Louisiana, then entered the US Army and served during the Korean War. Following his time in the service he moved to Temple and worked for the Temple Fire Department for 7 years. He later worked for Shallow Ford Construction for 20 years then worked for Bell County Road and Bridge Department until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Texas PTA. He served as a volunteer and board member for Churches Touching Lives Through Christ.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Kimble, parents, two sisters, Julia Coco and Evelyn Iosue, two brothers, Merrick Kimble and Fred Kimble.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Kimble of Temple, 2 daughters, Donna Lou Gresham of DeRidder, LA and Diedra Ann Angley of Bloomingsburg, NY, 4 sisters, Hazel LaBorde, Geraldine Lemoine and Joyce Eve Mayeaux all of Moreauville, LA and Lucille Reason of Clinton, LA, 3 grandsons, Tommy Gresham of Leesville, LA, Cordy Gresham of DeRidder, LA and William Foster Angley of Long Beach, MS, 1 granddaughter, Rebecca Ann DeSena of Pine Bush, NY, 4 great grandchildren, Jonathan Gresham and Tiffany Gresham both of DeRidder, LA and DeAnna Angley and Michael Perry Angley both of Long Beach, MS.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Deanna Joy Kimble Scholarship Fund at Belton ISD.

Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
