I have found all five obituaries for you. As you probably remember, our fee is $5.00 for the first and $1.00 for each additional, so if you will send a check for $9.00 to the address below, I will get these in the mail to you as soon as your check arrives.

Just a couple of things...apparently, Carl Carlson's real name was Vance; anyway, that's how he's listed in the obituary in the paper. Also, concerning Jonas Carlson (called John Carlson in the paper), there were two articles that appeared in the paper about his death--one was on the front page (column 5) of the 7 March 1905 Ottumwa Courier. That page is not on our microfilm; in fact, the first three pages of the 7 March 1905 paper are not there. However, there was a later article describing the funeral arrangements, etc. in the 9 March 1905 paper and I have made a copy of that for you. It's too bad the other paper isn't there. John died in a fall from the engine of a train so that's why it made front-page news on the 7th. You may try to contact the Wapello County Genealogy Society to see if they have that one in their obituary binders.( I did also make copies of the Ottumwa Courier Newspaper Index, so you'd have a record of when that initial article appeared in the paper, and also the Ottumwa Cemetery record so that I could match up the death dates with certainty.)

I'll be waiting to hear from you.

Best to you and yours,
Patricia
